The Karma is a great looking car. Except for that Darth Vader thing at the back. Or is it an air freshener? Luke, I eliminate up to 99% of odor-causing bacteria.

Nope. The engine exhaust is on both sides at the front fenders:
I'm not sure what vent thing at the bottom centre of the bumper is supposed to be, but it could be to vent hot air from the electric motor/generator.

What's sad is that from the thumbnail, I thought it was a legit picture of the Karma. GT6 takes some damn good pictures.

Apparently it exhausts heat from the wheel wells! Or so, that's what Karma owners choose to believe.

Wheel wells? I think we're referring to different vents. That, or Karma owners are crazy. I (and I assume Kake Bake) are referring to the "Darth Vader thing" directly below the licence plate and reverse light:
It's directly behind the motor/generator, and curved just like it:

The Darth Vader like thing houses a speaker(front & back) which produces this alien sound when driving in EV mode so as to warn people you're coming.

Man, it'd be way funnier if EV drivers just had to drive around constantly honking their horns.
I mean, not if you're sleeping or old... but then again, the sound will pass with the car.

I'm talking about the Darth Vader thing too! I was cruising through Karma forums yesterday and few seemed to know what the thing is for. The popular opinion was for venting the wheel wells. Only one person said "to vent system heat from the generator/motor".
I also saw one in yesterday, funny to think I've never noticed the little thing before until this Oppo post!!!

This is why I like Oppo: I thought we were looking at real cars until someone mentioned GT6 taking awesome pictures.
